My friend Mike Ashworth, who has been a staunch business mentor and all round top bloke just tweeted a newly found video on youtube of some of my Fleurs Du Mal corset collection,

London Alternative Fashion Week: Curve Couture show
Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am still on a high from doing the catwalk show yesterday. We had dealt with a whole host of issues in the run up to the show: hairdressers unavailability, MUA getting a paid job the same day the day before, one of the London models didn't even turn up and no driver for the van until a few days before, but.....
We overcame every problem. Luckily our MUA who dropped out being the total pro arranged cover: so thank you to Cherie Bullock for stepping in last minute and assisting the fabulous Tabbie Adams who I adore working with. Also our top girl-Friday Katja Van Der Graaf drove from London to drive my bus of girls back to London so extra thanks to her for the solid support and Mimi Flynn ( who is also a fabulous dressmaker/ accessories maker) who provided unequalled assistance backstage. And also my amazing models:
More posts to follow after I tidy up the heap of corsets, stockings and knickers that are occupying my table so I can get on with some work....

Toille to construction
After my last client left at 4pm today I have been working on my designs for London Alternative Fashion Week. Just over a month to go! Excitement.
Since I'm finding it hard to find the time to blog everyday as my workload increases I am resolved to try and create a snapshot of each day as my countdown begins, so here I start with one of my bridal designs.

I left this corset toille last night on the stand ready to bury my head in it today.
Corset in ivory silk after alterations
corset as designed to be worn over a full skirt, still needs a few tweaks but all looking good.

Several things....
It's been a month of total craziness.
Today I am taking a breather from the sewing machine to get other important tasks done....like this!
So, catchup...
London Alternative Fashion Week is just over a month away, and as you can guess....I am busy as a bee. I have been constantly sourcing shoes, jewellery and all the other shenanigans that must accompany my creations on the catwalk and it's taking up quite a lot of my research time!
Aside from this I have been designing new costumes, including a samba inspired bikini and wing combo in white and silver to be worn in Las Vegas and a Marie Antoinette belly dance costume for the wonderful dancer Hilde Cannoodt.
Super excited to see the new Elle cover:
How super sexy is the finish of multi colour crystals on nude coloured lace?
Effin super sexy!

London Alternative Fashion Week: Update
The lack of blog posts has been due to an over-riding need to get on with practical work.
But, exciting news: my date for London Alternative Fashion Week has been confirmed as Wednesday 18th April. The event takes place at Spitalfields Market in East London and is FREE to attend.
Alternative Fashion Week is organised by Alternative Arts and is takes place between 16-20th April. All fashion shows start at 1.15pm and 14 designers will be shown per day. Last time I was there there were limited seats along the catwalk...the majority of places are standing room only so best get there early if you want to sit down.
This is so exciting, look forward to showing off my work.
