I have super, super respect for the body builders and body fitness guys and gals I have been working with this year.
It is only my second season making these specialist little items and it is a steep learning curve compared to corsets and weddings. It is surprising how much engineering goes into these little beauties. There is a lot of work to do in refining the cut of the bikini bottoms and figuring out how to stop those little buggers from straying. Still I have much to learn about using stretch fabrics and elastics so I look forward to improving the fit and design.
Here's one I made last week, can't wait to see it on stage.
Tomorrow is the London and South East Championships for the UKBFF Federation and I wish Amanda Lau the best of luck in her category in her CNW custom made bikini.

On with the commissions...
So, I had a very exciting week last week.....
I am still receiving many glorious images from London Alternative Fashion Week, which is very exciting, but the work rocks on!
This week I have been working mainly on costumery...which has been a change to the corset intensity of the past few weeks. I have been working on several posing and competition bikini's for a couple of wonderful female body builders from Brighton. Amazing little feats of engineering...bikini's.
Here is one I made earlier:
It's very very small! I have just been commissioned to make some pieces for Rene Campbell female British bodybuilding champion 2011 which is really exciting.
